Last time you learned that your article titles need to include a big benefit and, where applicable, arouse curiosity. This time you’re going to get some title templates that you can use to quickly and easily create your own titles.

But first, let’s talk about trigger words. These are words that tend to naturally capture attention. Sometimes it’s because the words arouse curiosity (like the word “secrets”). Sometimes it’s because the word hints at an easy solution (like the word “easy”). At other times these words get the reader’s interest because they promise the person will learn something new.

There are other words that attract attention of course, but the above list are among the most powerful.

Now, just because these are good words to include in your title doesn’t mean you should stuff your title full of as many of these words as possible. The title still needs to make sense. So include one or two of those trigger words, but don’t stuff your title with trigger words (lest it starts looking too hyped up).

Let me give you an example: “How to Burn Fat Fast!” That title includes two trigger words , which gets attention without going over the top.

What Every [niche group member] Ought to Know About [Getting Benefit]. Example: What Every Dog Lover Ought to Know About Raising a Healthy Puppy.

Discover the Secrets of [getting benefit]. Example: Discover the Secrets of Losing Five Pounds in Five Days.

Revealed: The Quick and Easy Way to [get benefit]. Example: Revealed: The Quick and Easy Way to Housetrain Your Puppy.

[Number] Easy Ways to [get benefit]. Example: Seven Easy Ways to Slash 100 Calories from Your Diet.

How to [get benefit] without [common method. Example: How to Lose Weight Without Exercising.

[Number] [adjective] Tips for [getting benefit]. Example: Three Amazing Tips for Younger-Looking Skin.

How Anyone Can [get benefit] – Even if [some surprising thing]. Example: How Anyone Can Make Money Online – Even if You Don’t Know HTML from a Bar of Soap!

Revealed: The Easiest Way to [get benefit]. Example: Revealed: The Easiest Way to Control Your Hunger and Lose Weight!

What You Need to Know About [topic or benefit]. Example: What You Need to Know About Rebuilding a Chevy Carburetor.
