Google Penguin is an update on Google's search result algorithms, intended to punish Over-SEO-Optimized websites and pages with little to no content value.

It is not the fault of SEO personnel, Google itself created a trend of gaining ranks by back linking. It has not affected every website. After all every genuine business man has the right to gain traffic with conversion. Even now I will say Google results are not benefiting genuine websites.
