Margo, this is an all too common experience with free blogs and it still baffles me why so many people still use them to try to make money. The truth is the websites that offer free blogs are in it to make money for THEMSELVES, Not You! Get a self-hosted blog for a couple of bucks a month and get it ranked on Google, then you can enjoy a stable platform without risk of someone pulling your plug with no notice or reason. That's the "First No Brainer" of blogging. Google it and see.

If it was not a self hosted blog then this is the perfect example of WHY not to use a Free Blog.. I have done stupid stuff in the past with one of my blogs.. but all of mine are self hosted.
