Do you promote You or an Opportunity?

My personal opinion is you should be promoting yourself. People gravitate towards people not products. So if you provide a ton of value and people trust you they will eventually take up your recommendations which will lead to sales.

If I have something to offer from my own talent/ skills I promote myself, If I want to share opportunity provided by others and there by earn affiliate income, I promote opportunity.

I believe it is more effective to promote you and brand yourself as someone of
integrity, because people like to do business with those who they know, like and trust.
You will probably change your opportunity or it might no longer exist, but your customers will most likely following you into your next opportunity because of the relationship you have built with them.

Yes both should be part of your promotion, self branding for reputation and product branding for conversion to sales. Global promotion is my thing, to know and learn from experiences of fellow like minded online entrepreneurs.
