Xavier Aptitude Test Application Form 2016 has been released on 4 September 2015 and the last date to apply for XAT 2016 is 30 November 2015. XAT 2016 is scheduled to be held on 3 January 2016. The candidates must fill up the XAT 2016 Application Form to appear for XAT 2016. The Application Form for XAT 2016 are available online on the official website of XAT.

Requirements for XAT 2016 Application Process

The candidates must arrange the following requirements before filling up the XAT 2016 Application Form:

  1. A valid email id

  2. The scanned image of the candidate’s passport-size photograph and signature.

  3. The images must in .jpg or .jpeg format and the size of the file must be below 50kb.

  4. The candidates can pay the application fee according to their convenience.


Modes of Application Fee payment

The candidates are required to pay Rs. 1500/- to complete the Application process. The Application fee can be paid in three different modes, which are:

  1. Online Payment Gateway- The candidates opting to pay the Application Fee via online mode can use Credit/ Debit Card.

    The candidates must note that American Express Card is not permissible. Only the candidates having an account at IDBI bank can pay via Net Banking.

  2. Cash Payment- The candidates can also pay the XAT Application Fee by making cash payment. To make the payment via cash, the candidates are required to take a printout of XAT Pay-In-Slip and then pay against it at any IDBI Bank.

  3. Demand Draft- The candidates can also make the payment through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn at any nationalised bank. The DD must be drawn in favour of “XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT” payable at Jamshedpur.


In case of payment via DD, within 15 days from the date of issuance of the DD, it must be sent along with the confirmation page to the XAT office.


The candidates paying via cash or DD must enter all the required details of payment in the registration form. If the candidate fails to do so, then he/she will not be able to upload their photograph and their signature.


XAT Application Procedure

The XAT Application Procedure can be completed by 3 basic steps, these steps are:

  1. On accessing the Application Form, the candidates are required to fill in the details to create XAT ID and Password. The XAT ID and Password will be sent through the candidate’s email.

  2. Log in to complete the Application form and upload photo and signature.

  3. And lastly, make the Application payment and print the confirmation page for future reference.


During the Application procedure, the candidates can select the XAT 2016 Test City according their choice. They can also change the Test city before 26 November 2015.


The candidates applying for General Management Programme (GMP) must have a total experience of 5 years till 31 March 2016.
