World's Biggest Super Cranes

When you hear the word 'cranes', the first thing that comes to your mind are powerful, heavy duty machines that can lift hundreds of tonnes right? Well, you are not far from the truth. Cranes are everything mentioned above. However, the definition for a super powerful crane is not a machine that can lift hundreds of tonnes. The demand is increasing. Industries today seek cranes that are bigger, safer and faster than before. With one word, they want super sized cranes that can lift thousands of tons  instead of hundreds.

Liebherr cranes are the most powerful machines used for lifting and transporting heavy loads. Contractors rely on Liebherr cranes, simply because they are reliable, have increased operator comfort, excellent lifting capacity and long telescopic boom. Liebherr LR-13000 – Liebherr manufacturers introduced the world's most powerful crawler crane. It is also the highest one on the market. Liebherr LR 13000 set a new record with pulley height of 248 m. Manufacturers combined a boom long 120 m and a luffing jib 126 m, in order to produce a lattice boom system that has with an overall length of 246 m. The maximum capacity of this crane is 3,000 tonnes. 

Terex CC8800-1 TWIN – This pick and carry crawler crane was first introduced in 2007. The maximum capacity of this powerful crane is 3,200 tonnes. Terex CC8800-1 TWIN is capable of lifting 534 tonnes at a 62 meter radius. This model is most commonly used for nuclear power-plant projects and refineries.

Sany SCC36000 – Sany SCC36000 is world's number one crawler crane. Sany manufacturers introduced this model in 2011. China manufacturers count as one of the best crawler crane manufacturers, no wonder they produced this powerful super crane. Sany SCC36000 is designed to hold up to 3,600 tonnes. Unlike the other models, this one is powered by two diesel machines that produce 597 kW.
