The number of crane accidents in the period between 1997 and 1999, made people think more of the electrical grounding than before. Working in construction sites is quite risky, especially if you need to operate mobile cranes. The fact that even 73% of crane accidents involve mobile cranes, is frightening.        The possibility of getting into contact with electrical wires are greater, due to crane's height. Since cranes are made of metal, electricity travels through the machine and hurts the operator directly. Chances of coming into contact with an electrical wire are equal to zero with immobile cranes, but lack the versatility mobile crane models provide.

One way to decrease the number of accidents, is to pay attention on the electrical grounding of the mobile crane. If a mobile crane is not grounded, then electricity will travel through the metal and through the person that operates the crane. To prevent this, every mobile crane must have an electrical grounding system, that provides a detour for the electricity. That means that electricity will find a direct route to the ground and skip the person that operates the vehicle.

Another reason why a mobile crane should have an electrical grounding system, is due to its weight. Cranes are quite heavy as they transport heavy materials. Thus, stability is quite important. If cranes are not stabilized correctly, accident can be deadly. Some operators ground the mobile crane according to their own estimates, even though risky. One way to lower the chances of getting hurt, is to use mobile crane electrical grounding systems, to make complicated jobs simpler. Cranes with electrical grounding system are easier to operate, as you just need to push a button to maximize crane stability. This will help you save more time and effort, as you won't have to maneuver the crane all day long. If you want to protect your life and investment, have an electrical grounding system installed.
