The Gujarati Women look perfectly bedecked with Chaniyo. It is attire that has a blouse and a colored petticoat. The petticoat is generally adorned with different types of embroidery but the glass wok is the most widely used pattern. One thing to note here is that the glass designs on the Choli and Petticoat is generally matching with each other. Various floral motifs and different dimensions of geometrical designs are the most favorite designs of Gujarai women. The Chunery is actually a drapery to worn over the front part of the body. Festive Attire
Navratri is the most popular festival of Gujarat. Though the festival is celebrated all over India Gujarat has a special penchant for this nine day festival dedicated to the mother Goddess. The men and women join each other in celebrating the festival that includes a Garba dance. The dance is very energetic and requires a regional attire to look authentic.
Women wear Lehenga Choli. The dress includes large blouses with a good amount of embroidery. The length of the blouse reaches up to waist. The Lehengas are basically long skirt with regional look.
