The name of this damage is literal; it takes up the shape of a star. This type of damage has a focal point in the centre and stems or legs of varying lengths spread out from that middle point. Surface Pit

When crater-like damage is formed on the surface of the windshield, it is called a surface pit. This damage type does not penetrate the surface of the windshield and damages the inner layers. Otherwise, you will have to pay for the windshield price and get it replaced.
