Why We Love Scarves

Now, this is a silly question. Of course we love scarves of all kinds! Woolen scarf, silk scarf, cashmere scarf, good, old quality cotton scarf – all kinds of scarves are welcome in my closet. In fact, they're all in my closet. And as summer slowly reaches its end, and the earliest chilly nights slowly start making us shiver, I took out my long woolen scarf out and started preparing it for use. So what is it about scarves that makes us love them so much?

First and most important, they make you feel like you're still wrapped in your cozy, puffy and warm blanket, sitting in your bed and watching your favourite cit-com, while actually you're outside trying to go through the terrifying cold blizzard and reach your warm cup of coffee or tea or whatever. A woolen scarf is literally the guardian angel to your neck in winter. And top all you ladies that have one of those large wipe-the-floor-long woolen scarves, I congratulate you. You know what is a must-have. The rest of you, please try to keep up!

The second most important reason we love scarves is that they can transform your vision from a dull, simple one into an elegant one. A good woolen scarf for instance, combined with a nice jacket and good pair of jeans is your winning street style combination. Or, if you think your little black dress looks so dull on you and instead of making you feel sexy you feel simple, just throw a red cashmere scarf over your shoulders and hit town in glamour!

And don't even make me get started on fur scarves. That piece of accessory is just screaming elegance, luxury and fashionable taste! As far as I am concerned, every woman needs to own at least one fur scarf. Those high-heeled Louboutins don't go with cotton.

What may bring a slight doubt in my head are those tiny silk pieces of material that are wrapped around your neck creating something like a bow-tie. If you ask me, I don't own any of these, since I really don't see any real purpose in them. But, they're still scarves, so if you do fancy the french style and their little red scarves, feel free to accessorize with them.

Well ladies, I believe we're clear on the fact that scarves are a must-have in our closets. They provide warmth, give your outfit a fashionable tone, can complement your elegant vision and save you in a moment of doubts about your overall vision. So if you can afford to, get them in all colours and materials, it sure is a good investment!
