The use of Bamboo for flooring purpose has grown a lot over the past decade. Bamboo flooring is considered not just as a status symbol but it also reflects upon the environmental consciousness of the house owners as bamboo is considered as a renewable natural resource. Bamboo grows fast and it grows in abundance, hence the felled bamboo trees are replaced within a few years. This cannot be said about its other natural wood counterparts like Teakwood, Timber, Pinewood etc.

Besides, the natural shades of bamboo wood flooring and the natural granules are very popular amongst the buyers. The cost of these special designs and shades sells at premium rate than other regular designs. There are many reputed companies which deal in bamboo flooring. One of them is Inovar Floors India Pvt. Ltd., the Indian arm of Inovar Malaysian which has a presence in Indian for many years now. It has a good collection of the latest bamboo wood flooring designs to choose from.

The trend of using bamboo flooring in India has grown quite a lot in the recent past. The growth of purchasing power amongst Indian households has led to a rise in the use of wooden flooring. Wood floor can cost much higher than its semi-natural variants. The maintenance of natural wood flooring is slightly higher. But what makes bamboo flooring more popular in India is the fact that bamboo is a tropical product and it grows here in abundance, especially in the tropical rainforest regions of Asia. India has a fair share of bamboo growth in north east regions which receive heavy rains. Interestingly such good supply of water for a good duration of the year ensures quicker growth of some bamboo varietals, with some varietals achieving full growth height and volume within a year. For this reason, bamboo floor is very easily adaptable in the hot and humid climate of India.
