Why Shouldn’t You Switch From Windows 10 To Windows 8.1?
by Hayate Abul Digital MarketingWindows 10 can, every once in a while, create problems.
But still, the users should not downgrade it, especially from Windows 10 to
Windows 8.1. Many users downgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1 and are
regretting their decision.
It is advised
not to downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1
I used Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 for some time and concluded
that if one has an option, then it’s always better to go for 10. So I recommend
the same.
Read the following points carefully to know major drawbacks of
switching from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1.
- The Full-Screen Application Needs Extra
Effort
One of the worst features of Windows 8.1 was that the
applications worked in full-screen. Its users cannot even close this feature. I
call this feature of making full-screen applications bad because it even makes
the user enlarge the application.
- For instance, in the calendar application, rather than having a
different desktop section, the application used to take the full screen.
The user needs to make a lot of extra efforts using the mouse to minimise
such applications that didn’t require for full-screen usage.
- So the user was required to put the Windows 8.1 in ‘Desktop
Mode’, but it did not work properly or smoothly, despite Microsoft’s
tutorials.
Hence, Microsoft did solve this issue of Windows 8.1 by
modifying this feature on Windows 10 as it again emphasised the desktop itself.
- Full Security Is Not Provided
One of the best parts of Windows 10 is that it gives protection
more than any of the previous Windows that got launched earlier. Although, some
new features are irrelevant. Many of the people have even complained of the
same. Privacy should always come first so the user should always prefer Windows
10 rather than any of the earlier Windows.
- For instance, Windows 10 includes Windows Defender’s exploit
protection and it is a fantastic addition. It is worth noting that it has
replaced the EMET.
In the present era of security threats, privacy and security
should be a primary concern. Windows 10 is definitely a safe operating system
and ensures maximum privacy. Windows 8.1 on the other hand,is not as secure.
