1. Took Two Centuries in Construction

Construction of this Tower was grounded in August 1173. Only three stories of the structure were completed by the workers until 1178, which was already get tilt to the north. After that its construction was halted because of conflicts and wars. Finally,  its construction was started again in the early 14th century, resulting in the great infra you can see today. picked up again in the early 14thconcluding with the installation of a bell-chamber in 1372.

2. Why the Tower Leans

While due to some architectural faults the tower foresees bad luck, resulting in the tilted structure still standing in front of our eyes till date. Though it could have been constructed with other plans and architectural designs to avoid that but anyway leading it to be famous all around the world. Because of the use of soft ground consisting of sand deposits and clay, the building support becomes weak resulting in a slanted structure. 

3. Military Base During World War-2

Due to its large structure, it could have been the easy target during world war 2. But even though it has a distinctive feature, the German army felt that it will be used as a tower for optimal surveillance. That's how it became the military base during world war-2.

4. American Troops didn’t Destroy the Tower

Luckily the gravity has failed in bringing down the Leaning Tower of Pisa. When the U.S. Army was ordered to demolish all the enemies buildings and structures in 1944, the soldiers can’t make themselves to destroy the beauty after totally spellbound with its uniqueness. Hence again its charm worked out and the army troops didn’t destroyed it.
