40km from Digha and 177km from Kolkata. This place has numerous number of
beaches and offers a spectacular view of casuarina trees. The State Government
Fisheries Department is running a brackish water fish cultivation and research.

themselves away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Tajpur
There are many hidden
beaches in India and Tajpur, located in Digha is one of them. Tajpur lies in
the Purba Medinipur District of South Bengal and is just 16km before Digha. It
is located between Shankarpur and Mandarmani and is under Contai sub division.
Tajpur is home to numerous red crabs and has 1400 acres of land dedicated to
Pisciculture.
