Why does a cat need to play for its well-being?

by John B. Professional Writer
When you decide to welcome a cat into your home, it is essential to ensure that you have enough time to play with your cat every day, whatever its age. Indeed, play is fundamental to a cat's physical and mental balance. It is therefore important not to neglect this aspect and to ask all members of the family to participate in turn. There are countless games that these pets can't resist.

Playing is a valuable activity for cats of all ages
Playing is as important for cats as eating and sleeping, since its development depends on it, as does its balance and, more generally, its well-being. It also helps the animal to socialise and, in the case of a kitten, to grow up. So there's no question of adopting this type of four-legged companion if you can't give it this ultra-precious play time every day, which allows the cat to:

To exercise,
To not get bored,
To be less stressed,
To evacuate an overflow of energy,
To maintain its reflexes,
To keep one's hunting instinct,
To learn to control oneself because the cat works on its body control,
Stimulate his thinking,
To develop its sense of smell, sight and hearing,
To increase its endurance,
Maintain a healthy heart,
Keep your joints and muscles in top condition,
To fight against obesity and related diseases.
Playing with your cat every day is a wonderful quality of life. It is a daily gift to your cat, but it is also a way of giving your cat the respect it deserves. The game shared between the master and his little feline is in any case a playful interlude that ultimately does everyone good and creates a beautiful complicity between man and animal.

Playing against the cat's sedentary lifestyle
It is really important to play with your cat from a very young age and to maintain this activity on a daily basis throughout the animal's life. This is all the more vital for a cat living in a flat that doesn't go out much and whose owners are away from home from morning to night, as it is less inclined to move. Yet, a sedentary lifestyle is a curse for this naturally jovial animal. Playing maintains its natural dynamism.

Ideally, the cat should be able to play with another cat. But if it is the only animal in the household, each member of the family can take a quarter of an hour on their way home from the office or before leaving for school to share playful moments with their little companion.
