Why a Themed Party Is Perfect for You
Are you planning to throw
a party to celebrate your achievements, or maybe you want to break free from daily routine life? Whatever
the reason may be, organising a themed
party could just be the thing for you. You can have a lot of fun, food and drinks while showing off your extraordinary
skills at managing events. A themed party also lets you live an evening in the shoes of your favourite character from a movie, cartoon or comic books. Though
easier said than done, these few tips would be enough to get you going with
your plan.
Plan everything. Start
with fixing a date and time for the party. Make sure you choose a day which
would enable most of your guests to be present. Search for a location which is
not too far off. Make sure it has all the basic facilities to make your party
enjoyable. Make a list of the people you want to invite and send them prior
invitations so that they can plan accordingly.
While inviting your
guests, never forget to mention that you are organising
a themed party, and they should dress accordingly. The dresses and costumes can
be the key to a successful party or a mediocre one. Always have a couple of
costumes in spare in case someone couldn’t turn up in one. Store them in brown paper gift
bags so that they remain well concealed until you need them. Arrange
for other props and effects which could increase the intensity of the part by
quite a few notches.
Organising a successful theme party
would also require you to set up the stage, lights and music appropriately.
Choose the right colours and lights. Make
the decorations according to the mood of the theme. For example, if you want to
have a Halloween themed party, make sure that the “jack-o-lantern” and other
such effects are in place. Do not over spend. Using mini brown paper bags
instead of the permanent lamp would be
easier in your pocket yet can create more
impact.
Finalise the menu for food and
drinks well before the actual event day. While choosing the items, you can do a
background research on the foods that will fit perfectly with your theme. Instruct the catering services
accordingly. Try not to waste any food or drink if you have leftover. Arrange
for takeaway for your guests and pack their foods in brown
paper lunch bags if someone wants to leave early.
Choose proper music that will compliment your theme perfectly. Don’t let the music to be played too loudly or softly. Setting an optimied volume would allow you to have conversations comfortably, yet also can set up the mood. While partying, try to attend your guests and ask them about the party. A few words of encouragement and admiration would definitely lift your spirits up.
Partying is all about improving your social as well as personal skills. A themed party will allow you to achieve the same while having more fun things to do. Cheers!
