Some of you might think he looks a little familiar. That's because he starred on the HBO Series Oz as inmate Ryan O'Reilly. Well Ryan may have given up the criminal activity but he moved right on to causing trouble as Mayhem. And yes Mayhem is everywhere. He's everything from the startled deer in the headlights to the teenage girl behind the wheel texting.
Mayhem will make you laugh as long as he is not visiting you. Common catastrophes are hilarious when Mayhem causes them. And Mayhem is raking it in for Allstate. There's more than one comment on his Facebook Page from someone saying they have switched to Allstate thanks to Mayhem's influence.

Using Comedy in marketing is not really new but it is effective and while most businesses have a serious side applying a dose of comic relief tends to humanize the campaign and gets the target audience in a more receptive mood which is probably why the above campaigns have been so successsful
