Who Runs the World? Ford

From Utah to Europe, Ford is one of the most successful motor companies known to man. From the F-150 to the Fiesta, there is a Ford model that can satisfy almost every driver’s automotive needs and desires. Dealers everywhere are determined to satisfy new and returning customers’ needs.

Typically, when people think of Ford drivers, they may think of people driving trucks through rugged terrain in Utah or somewhere close to them in the United States. What some people may not know is that Ford is very successful in other areas of the world as well, specifically in Europe. This may surprise people because of the number of European motor brands that are so successful in America. The motor company has been present in Europe since 1900.

Just a few months ago, Ford reported that within the first quarter, the company had claimed the number one spot in commercial vehicle sales in Europe. Dealers from Utah and across the board were ecstatic over the news. 

Peter Fleet, the vice president of sales for Ford of Europe said, “Our strategy of investing to create one of the finest line-ups in the industry is paying off as we are seeing consistent gains in the passenger car market and huge growth in commercial vehicles. We became the top selling commercial vehicle brand in the industry in the first quarter—up from No. 7 just three years ago—thanks to our completely refreshed and expanded commercial vehicle line.” 

Ford states that a catalyst for this remarkable advancement in European sales was the high demand for specific models such as the Focus ST and Focus ST diesel. Now, several months after this press release, European Ford dealers know that the motor company continues to be successful with various other models. 

In Spain, Ford’s Valencia Assembly Plant is reported by Ford of Europe to be, “one of the most advanced, flexible and productive auto plants in the world.”  This press release also states that Valencia is one of the top automotive exporters in the world. These vehicles assembled in Valencia are exported everywhere from Utah to dozens of other places around the world. 

We can see that Ford is doing big things not only in the United States, but also around the world. The first quarter sales of 2015 show just how impressive the motor company continues to be.  Ford dealers everywhere should be proud of the successful company they work for.
