WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE QUICKBOOKS PRO OR XERO?

by Shivani Bhati Entertainment News
At present, the wide range of accounting software is available. In such a situation, users often get confused which product should they buy? Here, in this article, we shall compare two renowned software programs one is QUICKBOOKS PRO and second is XERO. For the better understanding of our users, we have differentiated it on several bases such as pricing, features, accounting capabilities, mobile app etc. Read the whole article to understand the product better and take decision accordingly.

     Launched in 1992, it has won people's heart and has become more robust over the time. Loaded with finest features, this well designed software program is used by accountants all over the world. Positive users review, accounting tools, good integrations, are among its best features.

XERO:
    It is also another robust, cloud-based accounting solution giving tough competition to QB software.
Both of these are competing in terms of capability and popularity.
Introduced in 2006, it provides strong accounting access to unlimited users and an impressive
feature selection.

Let's now compare both the software:

* ACCOUNTING CAPABILITY:
When it comes to accounting capacity, no one can surpass Qb Pro. This well-reputed software offers
a strong chart of accounts, journal entries, fixed asset management, 130 reports, and many more. Like other software, it also has issues connected with it. But on the same side, it provides services to address them. If we are talking about qualities of Qb pro, it doesn't mean that Xero is nothing in front of it. It too offers clients almost the same features but on the slightly less developed scale.

* FEATURES:
Again, if we talk about software features then Qb Pro wins and Xero loses. Although
both applications are equipped with excellent features, Qb Pro has more developed features.
Let me tell you how it is. For instance,
- Both offers invoicing, but QB provide more invoice templates.
- Both have time tracking, but Xero allows you to attach time to projects only. On the other side, QB ensure you to track employee hours as well as unbillable hours.

 Both Xero and QB Pro contain below listed features:

! Accounts Payable
! Time Tracking
! Print checks
! Multi-currency
! Sales tax
! Invoicing
! Depreciation
! Estimates
! Chart of accounts
! Importing & exporting
! Fixed Asset Management
! Contact Management
! Inventory
! Reports
! Tracking categories
! Budgeting
! Expense tracking
! Bank reconciliation

 Except this, additional features of QuickBooks Pro are:
! Calender
! To-do list
! Project Management

* PRICING:
      After this, the next basis for comparison is Pricing. Let us understand the pricing structure of these
software. Well, QB Pro is logically-installed software. For a single user, it costs $299.95. You must know that there is a need to download the software on your PC when you purchase
QuickBooks Pro. Do remember that the license is good for 3 years. After then, Intuit will discontinue the
support for software. Payroll starts with am additional $39 per months, Phone Support is $ 89 per 3-months and live bank feeds are $10-$15 per months. It's good that with QB Pro, you can also add services or inventory items.
On the other side, Xero software offers 5 pricing plan ranging from $9-$180 per months. It's hard to decide which one is better. For instance, QB is for 3 years and you use it without additional users. Thus it helps you to save some money. However, the extra charges of QB Pro adds up quickly.

   Now, if you require unlimited users, live bank feeds, payroll, and strong customer help, then we can say Xero is good option. Because of this reason, there is a tie b/w both Xero and  QuickBooks.

* EASE OF USE:
Here, in this case, again Xero wins. Even an individual who is not so good in accounting can easily handle it. While both these programs have steep learning curves, Xero is easy to use. Also, it's better service and comprehensive help center enable users to make most out of the software.

* MOBILE APPS:
 If we compare both the programs on the basis of mobile apps then Xero is the clear winner. Because it
offers app both for Android and iPhones where as Qb Pro doesn't offer any kind of app. Also, some users are not happy because of the issue that takes place in it. But some other think that something is better than nothing.

* SYSTEM REQUIREMENT:
 Based on system requirement, it has been found that being cloud based 'Xero' is compatible with every device that can access Internet via browser like:
- Google Chrome
- Safari 8+
- Mozilla Firefox
- Internet Explorer 11
- Microsoft Edge
On the other side, QB Pro is locally-installed software. Because of this, specific hardware requirements need to be fulfilled. It is only compatible with following:
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7,8.1,10
Windows Server 2003(SP2), 2008, 2008(R2), 2011 and 2012.

   Thus, we can say that Xero is a better one. Because of cloud based, it is a suitable option for most users. QB pro loses because it is much more limited and is available for Windows.

* USERS AND PERMISSIONS:
Guys, Xero is perfect for multi-user. It's so because it offers countless users in its pricing plan.
 Also, it offers strong user permissions. On the other hand, QB Pro allows one user per license. You need to pay additional charges for additional user i.e. $250 each. Now, you can see which alternative is best for multiple users.

* NEGATIVE VIEWS AND COMPLAINTS OF USER:
It's a matter of fact that everything has two faces; good and bad. We accpt that Qb Pro has negative
reviews. It's so because of issues confronted by users. Steep learning curve, forced upgrades and customer service are some of the common problems. Despite, it has many advantages making it better than others. It has fewer reviews i.e. 1/5 stars. While most of the users complain about Xero's mobile app, recent price
rise, and steep learning curve.

* POSITIVE REVIEWS:
       It is true that Xero users are overall happy with its usage. It has got 4.4/5 stars on GetApp and 4.3/5 stars on G2Crowd. If we talk about QB Pro then it has received 4.1/5 Stars. Thus, it's clear that Xero is a winner.

    So, these were some of the differences between Qb Pro and Xero. Hope it will help you in taking correct decision and choosing the suitable software for your business. For more information, you may dial TechSquadLine Number ( 1-866-292-4631). It works 24*7*365.
