Whats New In Florida For 2021

by Anna Rose Blogger

With a new year upon us and travel opportunities hopefully returning to some form of normality, there’s much to look forward to in the state of Florida this year. Today I’m going to share some of the most anticipated openings and events for the upcoming year, to help you plan your next trip to the Sunshine State.

Whats New In Florida For 2021

New Hotels And Resorts

Each year, the accommodation choices in Florida continue to expand, and this year is no different. For a luxury vacation, visit the Amrit Ocean Resort & Spa, which is scheduled to open in April 2021 on Singer Island. The start of 2021 also sees some new hotels for your next city break in Miami, including the Hilton Aventura Miami, which has a fantastic location near the Aventura Mall. For a new option for your next Orlando theme park adventure, consider booking Universal Orlando Resort’s newest hotel, the Endless Summer Resort, which recently opened to the public and offers great value for money for guests traveling on a budget.

St. Augustine’s New Bike Sharing System

St. Augustine is one of my favorite destinations in Florida, and now it’s even easier to explore thanks to their DRIFTERS Out Post bike rental system. Before your vacation, download the Movatic app, which will offer you the chance to explore the city on two wheels.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Busch Gardens is renowned for their incredible attractions and coasters, and this spring sees the opening of the tallest, fastest and steepest hybrid coaster in North America. The Iron Gwazi coaster will attract coaster fanatics from around the world, so don’t miss out on visiting the park this year. If you need a little downtime after all that adrenaline, they have some fantastic animal exhibitions at the theme park too.

Rocket Launches

There’s nothing like seeing a launch from Cape Canaveral during your trip to Florida, and currently SpaceX have two planned launches for 2021. The first one is scheduled for March 30th and the second one for some time in the fall. Of course, these are subject to change, so keep an eye on the schedule, and hopefully, it will coincide with your visit.

Jurassic World VelociCoaster At Universal Orlando Resort

If you love the Jurassic Park movies, you won’t want to miss the newest attraction to hit Orlando this summer. With speeds of up to 70 mph, this will be one of the tallest and fastest coasters in the state and will be a fantastic addition to Orlando's theme parks.

New Golfing Opportunities

For keen golfers, Florida has plenty to offer you on your next vacation, and you won’t want to miss the opportunity to enjoy a round at the new Sailfish Sands course in Martin County. This 18-hole championship course is a reversible course, of which there are only a few in the whole country. It’s perfect for golfers of any ability, and kids and seniors are also welcome here.

There’s so much to look forward to if you are planning a visit to Florida in 2021. If you are looking for another way to spend a day of your vacation, consider heading out on a half-day or full-day inshore fishing charter with BLFishing. You’ll get to experience another side of Florida from the water while relaxing and enjoying quality time together with your family and friends.
