by Rahul Tyagi Team Leader
While performing any physical activity, there are many different things that you need to keep in mind. The first of them begins even before starting the workout. It is in the form of warm up and ends with cool down exercises. If you ask your trainer, then the same will be recommended to you. All of this is done to make sure your body responds to nerve signals and take quick and efficient action. If we don’t follow all these things, then there is possibility of hurting our body. The best possible course in this case is to go for rehabilitation. Eternal Hospital is considered as the best rehabilitation hospital in India.

Rehabilitation is the whole process that is undergone by the individual who has suffered an injury or illness. The injury or illness may have caused in loss in skills. It is done to make sure that there is restoration of lost skills leading to regaining of the self efficiency. There may be different reasons of undergoing rehabilitation. For ex – it may be needed after suffering injury while playing contact sports, twisting of body parts while exercising etc. It can also be done after a major surgery as the part of recovery.

One of the important components of rehabilitation is physiotherapy. It is a type of therapy which uses different techniques to promote mobility and function of the body. There are various examinations, diagnostic and prognosis tests done in it. The primary aim of physiotherapy is to reduce pain and maximize the mobility.

Some of the common treatments are as follows –
Ultrasonic Therapy – In this therapy, sound waves are used to treat injuries like muscle strains, runner’s knee etc. Different intensity of sound wave is used to stimulate the tissue. It causes increase in healing rates, relaxation and heating of tissues, breakdown of scar tissue etc.
Shortwave Diathermy – consultant physiotherapists in Jaipur use this technique to treat muscle and joint conditions. Heat generation is stimulated with the help of high frequency electric current. It increases the blood flow, and improves the mobility.
Interferential Therapy – it is considered as therapy which stimulates self healing process and relieves pain in turn. Signals given by this therapy are of high frequency and penetrate through the skin. It decreases swelling and inflammation and considered as a highly effective form of treatment.
Other treatment options include muscle stimulation, electrotherapy treatment, continuous passive mobilizer, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation etc.
