The art of web development incorporates multiple technologies. However, the ultimate purpose of the website is finally to do exactly what the client wants it to do and it is the duty of the web developer to get it done. Web designer and web developers are two completely different things. Their roles might have some common duties but the web designer hardly gets involved in the actual coding of the website.

It takes some time before the web developer actually gets down to write the codes which runs under the beautiful interface of the website. Once the project for a website is earned by an agency, there goes a lot of planning and analysis on what exactly should be done to build the website just like the client wants it to be. The client specified the design and the functionalities of the website. The project manager, then, cuts the duties into pieces and assigns different tasks to different team members.

During this phase, the web developer would not get actively going and might just oversee if the design is becoming just like the design the client chose. The client would very well test the look and feel of the website, along with the functionalities.

Once this planning and analysis phase is over, the web developer would get down to actually coding the website. This includes working on client side technologies like HTML and CSS and the server side technologies like PHP and DOT NET. You will find many a good web developers in Thailand who are proficient in all these technologies.

You might think that once the web developer is done coding the whole website and it is ready for a launch, the web designer takes over the duties. While it might be true in some cases, in most of the cases, it is the web developer who actually gets the website up in the server and launch it.

Testing is the most neglected part of a website while nothing can be more important for a website. If there are some fatal errors on the website, it will not be credible to the users and the users might face financial losses from using a badly coded website. However, the web developer is not responsible for testing the website and the project manager should, ideally, have a team of testers for this purpose who can run several tools to test the site.
