by Avadhesh Sharma SEO Analyst
One of the most important invention that has connected us is Telephone. Today people can connect and communicate all over the world without any problem. These consists of different copper insulated wires which have a diameter which ranges from 0.3 to 0.9. These wires are either twisted into four or two parts. All these wires are then connected to the phone jack in your house.

You will get different types of cables which vary in configuration and have different uses, size and even performance. Following are some of the common types of telephone wires which are essential. You will get these easily. Many telecommunication cable manufacturers supply you the best quality wires for use.

Coaxial Cables

This is one of the common cables. This is known as coaxial cable because these have a physical channel that is an insulating layer and it is woven as a shield of copper. The layer inside carries the signal is surrounded by another physical channel that is made with a sheath of plastic. The channel outside is said to be the ground. This is where different coaxial tubes are paired and placed. This helps is transmitting the information over a great distance.

You must be careful and take precautions for maintaining your home electrical wire system. This helps you to ensure that everything is working fine and in a good condition. These cables are available in different sizes and also vary in power handling capacity and performance. These are also used to connect video and audio equipment, television network and LAN.

The Twisted Pair Cable

The twisted cable is another type of telephone cable which contains a pair of copper wire that is usually colour coded. These are twisted around each other and have a diameter which ranges from 0.4 to 0.8 mm. Each twisted cable has a different number of twisted pair which generally varies. Generally in most of the cases, the more the number of pairs of wire the better it is. This is because it reduces the risk of cross-talk and any other external noise.

It is very important to notice that though there are different cables for telecommunication which includes twisted-pair cables, these are low cost than other cables available. It also has low bandwidth and high attenuation.

There are mainly two different types of twisted cables.

• Unshielded twisted pair (UTP)
• Shielded twisted pair

Fibre Optic Cables

The latest telephone cable that is available in the market is called the fibre optic cable. In traditional and other cables the data was transmitted over copper wires but today these cables use optical fibres to transmit data with light rather than using electricity. To give more protection each of this optical fibre is layered with plastic and has a protective tube in it. There are two types of fibre optic cables. They are:

• Single-mode fibre optic cable
• Multimode fibre optic cable

Jelly Filled Cable

These cables are filled with petroleum jelly. This makes it resistant to water. This is an underground cable which uses the material polythene as insulation on the conductors.

These were some of the cables available in the market. There are many more. Choose the best telecommunication cable suppliers and order your product.
