What Are The Advantages Of The Whirlpool Antibacterial Filter

healthier and bacteria-free environment, which generates better and longer
storage of food. The different producers are interested in this aspect, with
different solutions obtained with specific studies on certain technologies. In
this case we focus on the filter developed by Whirlpool in collaboration with
Microban.
The filter is inside the refrigerator in a package, inside
which there is the filter itself and a small object with a size of around 3 cm
by 1.5 cm called Timestrip.
The antibacterial filter has a duration of six months, the
course of which can be kept under control by the indicator on the timestrip
that will gradually go up a bar as it runs out.
All the air in the refrigerator is passed through the
filter, which in addition to deodorising it cleanses it of bacteria. Its action
is proven against: Listeria monocytogenes (responsible for listeriosis),
Staphylococcus aureus (responsible for acute suppurative infections),
Escherichia coli 0157, Salmonella enteritidis (typhoid and paratyphoid fever
and minor salmonellosis), Aspergillus niger.
Depending on the model of refrigerator the position occupied
by the filter is different, so let's see with the help of the illustration to
identify where its housing is.
Starting from the top to the right and going to the left, the first figure is that of a combined no frost, the filter is located in the lower part on the right of the refrigeration compartment. The two is a drawer freezer and the filter must be inserted in the upper part. Figure three refers to a side by side (American) refrigerator that sees the position at about forty centimeters from the ground on the left side of the cabinet, while in figure six it is always an American refrigerator, which sees the position of the filter in the part high. Figure seven is that of a combined, this time ventilated, which provides for the housing of the filter under the cover of the fan placed in the upper part at the center of the bottom wall of the refrigerating compartment.
Illustrations 6A and 7A indicate how to unhook the covers to
access the compartments where to place the antibacterial filter.
