What are High Barrier Metallized Films

These films provide oxygen and acts as moisture barrier on both the laminates and make use of aluminium in many applications. They can be merged into most high barrier constructions. They provide a cost effective and sustainable way of attaining the required shelf life. They are also available as one or two sided metalized films. They are basically used for packaging purposes and therefore are referred to as Packaging Films.

There are Variety of OPP Packaging Films like Heat sealable films and Non – heat sealable films and OPP (Oriented Polypropylene) films. They possess features like better sealable property, transparency, better shrinking ability and inflexibility. These films focus on packaging, stationary, pressure sensitive tape, label, etc. This film upholds the content and the display of the product even after transportation.

Types of OPP Packaging Films:

1. Heat sealable films

They are used for various sealing and heating purposes and for packaging of food products of strong smell, overwrapping and sealing of fruits and vegetable packs. It is used to seal natural or raw surfaces, PDdc, paper, PCV, aluminium foil. This helps in the reduction of costs and the increase in productivity as well.
