Wentworth Season 8 is Now Available on Netflix

Fans in Australia were elated on July the 28th, 2020 because their wait for Wentworth Season 8 premiere was finally over. And now, they have to endure another round of waiting because, on September the 29th, the last episode of the penultimate season of their favorite show aired on Fox Showcase. However, fans living outside of Australia have some good news because the Season 8 of Wentworth is now available on Netflix, approximately two months after its release in Australia. Netflix Australia, however, will not air Wentworth so if you are an Australian and you have missed all the episodes, you have to look out for other means. Of course, only if you wish to watch it.

Now, for those who are interested in spoilers, here is a brief account of what happened in the Season 8 finale. The finale was titled “The Enemy Within.” In the episode, we saw Lou discovering that her phone has disappeared and also the money that they had accumulated for Reb’s gender re-orientation has gone missing. Reb is bum steered into realizing that Allie is the thief. Reb beats Allie up, and she was taking the fight to the death before Winters interferes and saves Allie’s life.

In the next scene, Reb and her friends march towards Joan, they threaten her before killing her pet fish and making her tremble with her childhood trauma as the memory of seeing her mother getting murdered by her cruel father resurfaces in her mind.

All this while, Boomer was busy meeting her telephone mate and soon realizes that he records explicit videos for a living and actually owns a lewd website. Boomer tries to convince Ruby. Dr Greg Miller does not budge in her stance and defies pressure from Vera, testifying in court that Joan Ferguson is suffering from traumatic brain damage. Sheila tries to create some tension between Lou and Reb by revealing a gruesome fact that Reb played a part in the doctor’s unsolicited attempts on patients. In another scene, Allie is enraged when Judy confesses that she had attacked General Manager Anne.

Judy, later on, takes an attempt on Allie’s life by stabbing her while she is in the shower. Allie gets fatally wounded before it gets revealed that it was Judy who had stolen Reb’s money in order to hire a hitman to eliminate the United States Secretary of State who was about to visit her to secure her extradition. Meanwhile, Vera and Linda place Joan in a spit hood which makes her experience a mental breakdown, bringing her true psychotic side to life.

It was the penultimate season which means that there is also Season 9 which will finally bring the story of Wentworth to full closure. It was revealed earlier this year that Wentworth Season 9 would hit the screens in 2021.
