Visit an Italian Furniture Store in Miami, FL for the Best Styles and Options

by Kevin Smith Author

Even if you don’t know much about fashion, you probably do know that Italian designers are some of the best in the world. After all, you don’t need to be in fashion school to have heard of Versace! It’s common to compliment someone’s fabulous shoes or leather purse and hear “Oh thanks, it’s Italian!” What you may not know, however, is that Italy’s distinction expands well beyond just clothing. Italian furniture is top as well.

Why is this? It actually all began centuries ago, well before the first Italian furniture shop in Miami, FL was even a possibility. Italians have had a focus on beauty for hundreds of years. Back in the 15th century, a great deal of consciousness arose in Italy on sculpture, painting, architecture, and other forms of delicate arts. From the years 1400 and 1650, the rebirth of distinction occurred primarily in the city of Florence and then widened in Rome and then all of Italy. These changes have made a mark in Italian architecture, which in turn influenced the now popular Italian furniture. Even up to the present day, Italian furniture has never lost its reputation for the best-made and most beautiful.

Italian furniture typically has design elements that are striking, flamboyant, bold, and opulent. Some of its designs are taken from the drawings of conventional Roman architecture and impressive sculptures. These antique inspirations came in the form of acanthus scrolls, shells, dolphins, and other decorations. Mirrored interlaced geometrical designs are also very common to see through Italian artwork. Our modern lifestyles have slightly altered furniture designs that comprise of Italian conventional furniture and the modern Baroque and Rococo style. You will not see quite so much pizzaz in newer pieces. However, the main concept and ideas still remain.

Italian furniture is often put together with strong metals and natural materials, like marble and iron. They feature intrinsic outlines, clean surfaces, and a well-constructed framework. Conventional Italian furniture is designed for a big family, so think of oversized sofas and large dining room tables. While Scandanavian furniture is simple and sleek, Italian furniture is bold and draws attention.

Italy is known to provide the most superior furniture. It is no wonder it is at the top of your list when considering to replace your current furniture. What does all of this mean for you? It means visiting an Italian furniture store in Miami, FL for your next couch, dining room table, bed, dresser, nightstand, bench, rug, or any other furniture piece is the best way to have a gorgeous, well-made item in your home for years to come
