Useful Tips for Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3A, and Pixel 3A XLby Nishant Gujjar SEO Executive Some of the Google Pixel phones like Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3A, Pixel 3 XL, and Pixel 3A XL have a lot of hidden features that are still unexplored by a lot of users. In this article, we will dig deeper into the unknown features and shortcuts that these mobile devices offer. Please mind that these features are exclusively available for the Google Pixel line only. Following are some of the best tips that you can use on your Google Pixel mobiles:
Home screen customization
It is quite easy to customize your home screen. All you have to do is tap and hold on any open area of the home screen until you get a pop-up menu that lets you choose Widgets, and Styles and Wallpapers. Choose either of these options to customize your home screen according to your preferences. You will also find Home Settings on the same page from where you can choose if you want notification dots, a new app, and more. It also offers you to customize ‘At a Glance’ at the top of the screen.
Hide that notch
Ever since the phone’s companies are providing excellent display size, the cut out at the top part of the screen was made. But on Google’s Pixel, you can hide this notch if it annoys you by following these steps:
1. Open the Settings app on the mobile and scroll down the page to click on System.
2. Click on the phone and scroll the page to tap seven times on Build Number.
3. After seven times, you’ll get a pop-up message quoting that “you are now a developer.”
4. Go back to the main Settings page and type ‘notch’ in the search bar.
5. Click on Display Cutout and select Hide.
Enable Google Assistant to screen your calls
For this, your Google mobile uses the Call Screening feature. Every time you get a call, you will find a Screen Call option above the answer and reject button. If you select this option to answer the calls, then it will enable the Google Assistant to say the following messages “Hi, the person you are calling is using a screening service from Google, and will get a copy of this conversation. Go ahead and say your name, and why you are calling.” From this point, you will get a life transcription of everything that the caller says, and the Assistant will also recognize if it is a robocall or telemarketer.
This feature will enable you to use two screens at a time for multitasking. To use split-screen, swipe up to open the multitasking view that will show all your recent apps. Click on the icon of the app at the top of any app that you want to open and then select Split Screen to choose the second app that you want to use. You can adjust the size of the screen using the thin line appearing in the middle of both the screens. To turnoff the split screen, drag the same bar from the middle of the screen to the top or bottom.
