The term VoIP refers to Voice Over Internet Protocol and it is also given the name of the IP based telephone system that runs of IP handsets. It has got a number of benefits and this is why businesses from all over the globe are replacing their traditional telephone systems with this, ultra-modern VoIP technology. One of the major benefits of VoIP phone systems is that phone software integrates well with software for other business applications. In the PBX system, you will find phones being connected to each other through the medium of cables that are connected to a server that controls all the calls, both incoming as well as outgoing. An interesting feature of PBX system is that you can have more phones than phone lines and the calls between users are free.

VoIP phones are found in three different varieties and the names are – IP PBX, fully virtual VoIP, and hybrid VoIP phone solutions. Let us have a quick look at all three of them.
