by John Stewart Mobile Apps Development

Twitter continues to enter deeper in game app development market. It recently launched Fabric , an app platform for game app developers. It support Unity Gamin engine which is already being used by 4.5 million registered developers all over the world.

“Our goal with Fabric is to build a universal mobile development platform, and games are huge on mobile,” says Richard Paret, general manager of the developer platform at Twitter. “We’ve had tremendous success with native iOS and Android and we wanted to extend that support to another large group of passionate app developers crafting experiences that touch hundreds of millions of customers every day.”

The App Annie says that mobile games generated the revenue of $ 34.8 billion in 2015 which is about 85% of worldwide app market. Twitter too seems to become its part through gaming app development and has been working with team of Fabric for moths. Hundreds of popular based on this platforms are already in the market with new services built in including Dots, Threes, Games of Throne Ascent and Start Trek Timelines.

“Twitter is live, public, and conversational; our tools give game developers the ability to make their game a part of that conversation,” says Hemal Shah, the product manager at Twitter. According to him the company has always played a role in helping gaming app developers build and grow with their apps. He also say that Twitter has been working with hundreds of mobile game developers who helped the company discovered the common challenges faced during the development to gaming apps.

“We crafted a streamlined on-boarding and updating experience through one unified Unity plug-in that gives developers time back each week to focus on building their game,” Shah says.

Fabric does also connect MoPub which is monetization company acquired by Twitter for $350 million in 2013. The mobile game app development industry also follows the trend of PC game industry in focusing on free-to-play games.

Shah also said MpPub’s integration with Fabric takes advantages of all the key ad formats in mobile to create custom experience that naturally fits with game’s content. This system provides free ad serving for direct sales, cross promotion, free and network mediation and immediate access to over 176 demand partners through the MoPub Marketplay.

For users playing games, the Fabric platform lets them sign in with Twitter account and share the game play experience on the social network site..

“I’ve always enjoyed sending my friends my high scores so they can try to beat me—this just simplified that experience,” Shah says.

Twitter will be at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next week connecting with game developers.
