Trophies & Awards Online

by Romil Chaudhary Romil Chaudhary

To make a competition interesting and people more motivated to participate and get to the end, awards and trophies are a must. Organizing an event, the costs can go up and including the various awards and trophies for the achievers can make the cost go up more, but that isn’t the reason to not include them. To stay in the budget and get the right reward for the winner, what kind of event or what the ‘race’ it is matters along with what type of reward you are getting. Let’s dive a bit deep in:

Does the trophy material matters?

The answer is YES! The material of the trophy matters. Unless you want the winner of your competition to look at a broken reward or unrecognizable as its colour is fading away or the paint coming out or the sticker gone, invest in some good material. Wooden trophies and mementoes are quite affordable (starting from Rs80), have a classy look and fulfils the purpose. Plastic cups and trophies hold up for a long time and are suitable for various events.

Depending on what trophy you are going for as in Resin or Perpetual, the material should be good. Going for a Resin trophy, the risk with the material is fine as it’s going to be the shelf of the winner after the result. But going for Perpetual trophy, investing in moderate size and material (preferably wooden or metal) would be good as it’ll be passed around till breaks or may be repaired.

What is the competition about?

The event before the getting reward is important as there are different awards suitable for different competitions. The average size trophy or a medal would be cheaper than a customized trophy or memento. For instance, for a sports event or activity events in general, a medal or a cup would be suitable while for remembrance awards like ‘employee of the year’, a memento or a custom trophy would be more suitable. A medal would roughly cost around Rs.150 to around Rs500, depending on the quality meanwhile a Cup trophy would cost around Rs200 and above depending on the size and a custom made trophy around Rs200-500 above depending on the shape and size of the trophy. A memento would also cost aroundRs150-Rs200 and above.

Going wholesale offline or online?

To buy trophies online in affordable or factory rates, shopping wholesale is better than going to buy them exclusively. Along with the trophies, getting consolation prizes would be in budget actually. Although shopping wholesale from the market is preferred to get affordable prices as you can bargain with the seller and customize the awards as per your like after touching and experiencing the samples yourself, this consumes time. Shopping wholesale trophies online in Chennai can help you save the time and labour of going to the market. Seeing the samples and getting everyone’s preferences in one place. Endless options are usually available at one place with different customization options and the option to return. The middlemen cost are cut down giving cheaper prices.
