According to a report from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), India will be one of the biggest economies in terms of tourism by 2028, adding ten million to the workforce. India occupies seventh place in terms of its travel and tourism sector contributing to the GDP. In 2017, travel and tourism formed 9.4 per cent of the country’s GDP. Also, the jobs that are travel based will increase to a little over 52 million in 2028, from the current 42.9 million this year. This speaks volumes about what travel and tourism can do to the employment sector.

Traditionally too, Goa has attracted tourists from within and outside India throughout the year. Its beaches, historical structures, cuisine and the general relaxed way of life have always been major draws.
