Toyota Camry-The Latest Hybrid

The Toyota Camry was one sedan which when released here in India about one and a half decade ago after winning over the world and ever since then it has been a flag bearer of Toyota cars in India. It went through a few facelift program in it’s entire life here and when it does it came out with more fans and increased customer base for the Korean automobile. It is perhaps one of the two models to which they turn to get a boost in sell volumes, another one being Corolla. The new sedan will roll-out from an all Indian manufacturing plant located near Bangalore in Karnatka state, currently among the 9 manufacturing units for such kind of hybrid Toyota cars across the globe. The expected Toyota Camry price is slated to be under INR 30 Lakh range, a price tag which will chop around INR 4-5 Lakh more than the current model.

The Toyota Camry features a specifically designed hybrid engine for the purpose. The new model is the first in line of hybrid products from the automaker designed to use a non-conventional fuel and thus minimise the dependencies on conventional sources of energy like the petroleum. This is a great initiation form the Korean giant towards a greener tomorrow as the non-conventional sources of energy tend to produce less pollution apart from being available in plenty. There is a petrol engine amply aided by an electric one which is powerful enough to provide it with all the necessary core power to commute at top speed without even slashing out a tiny bit on core performance for which it was famous in the past. The first variant housing a petrol engine was launched way back in 2002 with a price tag of around INR 24 Lakh and now this one comes with a cleaner fuel option. This is the 7th generation Camry.

The Toyota Camry pictures have got even better than what we were accustomed of. The beauty has been perfected in every sense and not only marginally but on a broader scale it now has a more up market feel than ever before. The exteriors have been kept intact largely from the current model except for a neat chrome plated front bumper. It has with touched a little to include more curve and the headlamps have been extended a bit more towards the corners. The rest of the body frame remains unchanged. It is a car that has impressed most of the drivers worldwide and this one has been credited as among the top sold car in USA automobile industry. The Europeans love it and so the Americans, the Asians are proud of it. The interiors are simply amazing, it gives immense pleasure to be inside one and the immaculate twin coloured theme adds to the style a lot. The dashboard is clean and the controls on the power steering are though a lot more than the usual, yet each one of them proves their presence.

The hybrid vehicles are the need of the time and perhaps the future of automobiles. They are still in their infant stages so not to expect a lot from them yet the world and especially India is not yet ready for a complete vehicle running on non-conventional sources of energy but the transition to one must is on it’s way and Camry is though not first but among the firsts milestone here.
