TISSNET 2016 would be conducted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). It is a national level post graduate entrance exam to offer admissions to Masters in Social Work and related programs. Score of the exam is accepted by TISS Mumbai only. More information on the PG courses offered can be found in the official brochure. TISSNET 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must be a graduate from any discipline with a recognized bachelor’s degree from a state or centrally recognized university/college. He must have studied under either 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 system. The candidates, who are in their final year of the bachelor’s degree, can also apply for the examination. They must complete their degree by June 2016 to participate in counselling and allotment.

TISSNET 2016 Application Form

Candidates can fill the form either in online mode or offline mode. Eligible candidates can apply for a maximum of three programs across any two of the TISS campuses and other locations. In online mode, candidates have to visit the official website, fill and submit the form before finally paying the application fee thru credit/debit card or net-banking. In offline mode, candidates have to get a printed copy of the application form from the Institute by sending a request by Speed Post with application fees to Assistant Registrar (Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar Mumbai, 400088.

TISSNET 2016 Exam Pattern

  • TISSNET 2016 Exam would be held in January 2016 at around 30 exam centers.
  • Mode of the examination is online where answers must be marked with mouse.
  • Type of the questions – objective/multiple choice questions.
  • Total duration of the examination – 100 minutes.
  • Questions would be asked from: Social Sensitivity, Knowledge on Contemporary issues, Analytical Ability, and Logical Reasoning.
  • There is no negative marking for wrong answers in the test.

TISSNET 2016 Result

Candidates can check the result of the TISSNET Exam 2016  in 3rd week of February 2016. Names of the candidates shortlisted for next step of selection process would be announced.

TISSNET 2016 Selection Process

The following stages would be undertaken by the candidates to get finally admitted in the institute. The candidate who qualifies all the round and score minimum qualifying marks would be admitted in PG course of his choice.

  • National Common Written Test- TISSNET 2016 Exam  – 100 marks
  • Pre-Interview Test prior to the Personal Interview – 50 marks
  • Personal  Interview – 75 marks
  • Total – 225 marks
