Lumens
It is important to understand that the brightness of the light is related to lumens, not watts. LED lights are preferred as they tend to consume less energy. They provide more lumen output on each watt. Based on your requirements, you can select from the LED lights offering different lumen outputs. For example, if you cover the area of 15-20 feet, you can opt for 16,000 to 20,000 lumen light. Whereas, for covering 20 to 30 feet, you would require around 40,000 lumen light.

Spacing
The key factor that requires attention is spacing. It depends completely on how high you wish to go. The higher you go, the bigger the fixture you would require. Moreover, going higher can run you into wind problems and code issues as well. Here are some ideas that can help you get the right spacing
Home & small parking lot lights (15-20 ft. high)- Ideal spacing 20-30 ft.
Light poles with 20-25 ft. high lights- Ideal spacing 30-40 ft.
High massive poles with 25-25 ft. high lights- Ideal spacing 40-50 ft.

Efficacy
Efficacy is a significant factor. It represents the amount of light received from the energy consumed by the bulbs or fixtures. To calculate the efficacy, you can divide the number of lumens produced by light from the number of watts consumed by the light. For example, if a commercial LED light produces 5,000 lumens while consuming 20 watts of power, the efficacy would be 250 lumens per watt.

Color
In high bay LED lights online, there are a limited number of color options. Based on the type of area, you can choose from the cool white, daylight, warm white. If you wish to add something similar to the traditional option, then you can go with a lower color temperature.

Apart from these, do not forget to consider the type of fitting. In case you are planning to install LED lights at the place of current lights, you would require the idea of current light fitting.
