The music world tries to reactivate after a year of COVID-19
After a complete year of pausing everything
thanks to COVID-19, the world is slowly trying to recover, but even this
recovery can be slowed down in a heartbeat. A new strain threatens the world with
new lockdowns and beaten industries are struggling to remain strong and show
resilience. However, after an entire year, we all have to wonder… Is there any
way to recover from this?
Well, all we can see is that industries are
trying, and one of those is the music world! For example, this upcoming event
in Madrid offers 5 days of live music that I bet everyone really needs. So,
let’s present their schedule:
According to an article written by Francisco
D’Agostino, the first week of June, the central EDP Gran Vía Theater
in Madrid will host concerts by Carmen Boza (June 2), Mr. Kilombo (June 3 and
4), El Jose (June 4) and Second (5 and 6 June), five days of live music
promoted by the booking and management agency EO! Música. Tickets for all the
events are already on sale at tickets.groupsmedia.com.
Carmen Boza - June 2 8.30pm - Tickets
Carmen Boza is a singer, guitarist,
composer and producer of all her songs. Her staging stands out for the claw and
personality with which she interprets the entire repertoire of guitar riffs and
catchy melodies that accompany dark and introspective texts. After saying
goodbye to the tour where she walked the songs from her last published album
(La Caja Negra, 2018), the woman from Cádiz returned to the stage before the
pandemic with the Carmen Boza tour where, with an intimate format, she
recovered the themes of her career searching a new sound. She now returns in
band format to Madrid on June 2 (8:30 p.m.) where she will surely add to her
repertoire the last song of her published by her, La Grieta.
Mr. Kilombo - June 3 8.30pm - June 4 10pm -
Tickets
At the head of Mr. Kilombo is Miki Ramírez
from Madrid, who performs with his entire band, offers a musical cocktail where
timba, samba, reggae, ska and rock are mixed. Mr. Kilombo stands out for his
energetic and interactive staging, backed by songs with carefully cared lyrics
and subtlety, turned into catchy melodies, with forceful refrains. A hallmark
that is reflected in Cortocircuitos, his latest and fifth studio album that has
songs such as Cabecita loca, Por su camino (with the collaboration of Macaco)
or Everything changes are shelled. And you can live in the first person twice
on June 3 (8.30pm) and June 4 (10pm) in Madrid.
El Jose - June 4 7:00 p.m. - Tickets
El Jose is a musical project that was born
in the emblematic Albayzín neighborhood of Granada. The band signs songs of
various styles that maintain the original roots of the formation and captivates
with their lyrics and their way of performing in front of the public. Poetic
and diverse rhythmic, eclectic sounds and bohemian essence flow in a natural
and versatile way, generating where El Jose appears a party atmosphere,
laughter and emotions of all kinds. On June 4 (7:00 p.m.) in Madrid you will be
able to live the experience of his live show in an afternoon session where, in
addition to the songs from his two studio albums, At home that there is no
government, the bread goes by pinches tierno (2016) and Yo sin tú (2018), will
perform the recently released songs I'm going to invent a path and Let's
change.
Second - June 5 8.30pm - June 6 7pm -
Tickets
Two years ago, Anillos y Raíces de Second,
the eighth of his studio albums, were released. With this work they achieved
their greatest successes and took an exponential leap in their careers, heading
sales charts on digital platforms, festival posters and filling in more than
half of the presentation dates that took them through theaters across the
country. Taking advantage of this second anniversary, Murcians have wanted to
share with their audience an unpublished and acoustic version of Who thought
about that? This is added to the extensive list of Second's hymns, which can be
enjoyed live on June 5 (8.30pm) and June 6 (7pm) in Madrid.
This event gathers a lot of talent together
and shows a dedication to re-open in a safety way the entertainment world. A
group of very talented artists with a long trajectory sounds like a great
outcome for this 5-day event.
Now, even though this is taking place in
Spain, we can also see an increase of live performances around the world. Some
other artists are just adapting to the new normal and working on staying in
everyone’s mouth, lie The New York Bank that announced an upcoming virtual
