With English being the most spoken language in the entire world, there are more and more persons who want to start learning it. The number of people who have learned English as their second language is more significant than the number of the actual native speakers, so here is why international language standardized tests are very popular. A lot of non-native speakers want to take these standardized tests for there are many advantages when having a language proficiency test. International standardized tests can be used for advanced studies and job applications because they are a proof of language competence. Though most of the people who want to take these tests are teens, there are also older people who want to do them. They usually do this because their job requires a language proficiency test. On the other hand, teens prepare for the standardized tests mainly because they want to study in a foreign country.

So, in order to be able to do the test, you must first make your test registration. However, before you do that, you should know that there are different international language standardized tests. These are TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, GMAT, SAT, and PTE Academic and, dependent on the University at which you will study, you can choose which test fits best for you. In case you want to choose between places like United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, TOEFL is the right language proficiency test for you to take because you will need to prove that you are fluent in English. This is the case for all the people whose official language is any other language but English. So if you are not from the countries mentioned before and your native language is not English, it is best to take the TOEFL Registration in Nigeria. TOEFL, who stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language, tests your reading, speaking, listening and writing skills. It is divided into four sections, and each section is for one specific skill. By joining the TOEFL program, you will receive guides to help you with the test preparation and the improvement of English-language skills. What you should also know is that the test comes in two formats: the paper-based test (PBT) and the internet-based test (iBT). The paper-based test is written on paper, and it is commonly used in countries where the internet-based test is not available.
