The Future of Facial Recognition Marketing

With new technological advances comes new ways of how we interact with the devices we use. Virtual reality is starting to take the world by storm and soon after that you may not need a device over your head to project an image. Imagine that sometime in the future where you don’t need anything in your pockets. Cell phones, wallets or even keys may become obsolete and you will interact with everything based on facial recognition.

Facial recognition is not a brand new technology but as it begins to be more prominent in daily living, it will change how marketing companies interact with their audiences. It would work similarly with how your smart phone works, based on your likes and dislikes you will get some sort of reminder that as you are driving to work that you could pick up your favorite breakfast sandwich in just two minutes. You could see personalized advertisements and news in your car, on a billboard or even in an elevator going to your office.

While it seems like we are far away from everything being a personalized ad. There is a technological resource that has facial recognition software and marketing companies could start now. Vehicle manufactures have started to customize a driver’s experience with facial recognition. Whether you are by yourself or with a passenger, your car will run the facial recognition software that will then take you back to the same song you were listening to when you were last together. It will even adjust your seat how you like or the air going throughout the car.  Sooner or later, they may find a way to provide news, sports or music based on what you like and marketing companies will begin to make personalized ads.

Sooner or later we will be able to function without having anything in our pockets. You can pay for items with your cell phone, it is only a matter of time that you can pay with your face. The smart marketing companies should start thinking of ways to personally advertise to customers now. When the time comes when people begin to leave their smart phones behind, they will still have a means in how they can advertise to their targeted audience.

Facial recognition is an incredible resource that will someday be a part of our lives. There are apps now that run off of facial recognition and consumers don’t even realize it. As soon as marketing companies begin to figure out how to use this technology, they will certainly be successful in sales.
