Donald Trump.

A name that inspires vastly different types of feelings in America. From a successful businessman, to now one of the most powerful men in the world as president of the United States, his journey has been both despised and celebrated by many.

Trump’s election and its aftermath caused a lot of hostile feelings along with distrust, to emerge in a lot of people’s hearts. Naturally, one would expect Americans to swallow a hard truth and move on with their lives since, by now, some time has passed since the presidential election. But his extensive marketing and branding all over the country including architectural logo design serve as haunting reminders.

One such reminder stands tall in Chicago in one of the busiest areas of the big city. The Trump tower here is one of the most embellished buildings to his name, which it displays in bold metallic letters for all to see. This branding of the city space with his name has been protested by people.

Fortunately, an unlikely hero has emerged to save the city of Chicago from the ordeal of seeing their president’s name daily as they walk by. An architect who goes by the name of Jeffrey Roberts, of New World Design, has promised to use architectural logo design to make sure that the infamous name does not get the audience that was hoped for by its owner.

Roberts calls his master plan, ‘Flying Pigs on Parade’. This is a clever installation through which this creative architect has planned to block the view of Trump’s name on the building. This piece will compromise of giant 30-by-15-foot golden pig balloons secured to a barge just over the Chicago River. According to Roberts, his inspiration came from an infamous novel by George Orwell, called Animal Farm.

Although the idea has been spread far and wide, the installers still require some financial backing to turn it into reality. This is why a website has been setup for this very purpose. While visiting the website one can see quite easily how architectural logo design by one party has been answered back by another one. The group makes sure to point out the commonalities between the pigs in Orwell’s novel and the current state of politics in America. The long note ends with a saying in bold that asks other to demand truth and decency from the government.

This idea has been welcome by various entities including citizens, news channels, organizations and various other groups perturbed by the idea of seeing their beloved city smothered in Trump’s name.
