The amount of water in our dams has decreased
Turkey is a country that suffers from water scarcity. Although the country's annual water requirement is 150 billion cubic meters, annual water collection is only 110 billion cubic meters. For this reason, dams were built to meet Turkey's water needs.
Dams are used to collect rain and snow water. This water is used for drinking water, irrigation water and electricity generation. There are currently 516 dams in Turkey. The total water storage capacity of these dams is 80 billion cubic meters.
However, the amount of water in Turkey has been decreasing in recent years. The main reasons for this decrease are climate change, drought and improper water use. Climate change causes less precipitation in Turkey. This causes the water levels of the dams to drop. Drought also causes a decrease in the amount of water in Turkey.

Incorrect use of water also causes a decrease in the amount of water in Turkey. People in Turkey do not understand the importance of water sufficiently. Therefore, water is wasted unnecessarily.
The decrease in the amount of water will have very serious economic and social consequences for Turkey. Water scarcity will adversely affect agriculture and industry. This will increase unemployment and slow economic growth. Water scarcity will also cause health problems.
Turkey is taking some measures to prevent water scarcity. These measures include water conservation campaigns, improving irrigation systems and building new dams. However, it is not yet clear whether these measures will be sufficient.
To solve Turkey's water scarcity problem, all citizens need to understand the importance of water and conserve water. In addition, the government should also take more measures to prevent water shortages.
There are many factors that cause pollution of water tanks. These include factors such as incorrect positioning of the tank, insufficient cleaning of the tank, poor maintenance of the tank and leaking water from the tank.
Contamination of water tanks can cause various health problems by deteriorating the quality of the water. These health problems include diarrhea, cholera, typhoid and other bacterial diseases. Also, contamination of water tanks can change the color, smell and taste of water.
To ensure that our water tanks are clean and hygienic, we must have our tanks cleaned regularly. The cleaning of our warehouses should be done by a professional cleaning company. During the cleaning of the warehouses, the inside and outside of the warehouses should be thoroughly cleaned, the dirt and residues on the walls and floors of the tanks should be cleaned, the water leaks of the tanks should be checked and the tanks should be disinfected.
In order to draw attention to this issue, İSKİ and other institutions regularly try to tell us, the consumers, with the messages they send that the water is low and the summer is dry.
Ensuring that our water tanks are clean and hygienic is very important for our health. By having our water tanks cleaned, we can improve the quality of water and protect our health.
Here are some key points about cleaning water tanks:

Water tanks should be located in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.
Water tanks should be cleaned every 6 months.
Water tanks should be cleaned by a professional cleaning company.
Cleaning the water tank protects our health by increasing the quality of the water.

Another important issue as well as the cleaning of the water tank is the regular cleaning of the water dispensers and the ozone disinfection.
Water dispenser cleaning must be done by experts and accredited institutions. Water dispenser cleaning is a service that should be done every 3 months and then periodically.
