Thank you Google for screwing up my account with your greed
Thanks Google for dumping my YouTube account. I have had a YouTube account for years and now suddenly it no longer exists. I signed up for YouTube using my Yahoo email account and now suddenly it is 'incorrect'.
Why is this? Google's attempt to unseat Facebook. Google wants you to sign in using a Google account which makes Google look bigger than it is. So I followed the instructions and signed out of my Gmail account and tried it again. This time I get the sign in with your YouTube account or your Google account, progress right?
Wrong even using my Youtube Sign in info from this page I'm told 'incorrect'. Next step in this logical progression of things is to click the "I can't access my account" link. I pop in the email that has always been associated with the account and well well, no account exists for that e-mail.
I have years' worth of subscriptions and favorites completely wiped out at the whim of brain-dead Google marketers trying to create a facade of being the biggest social network on the internet and yet they completely erase people's accounts on things they acquire. Yes Google it's your toy but your toy is not worth anything when others don't want to play with it. and thanks to you arbitrarily wiping out what it took me years to build, this kid doesn't want to play anymore. I'll be looking into some of the other video hosting services that understand you don't treat the people you need to keep you on top in such a callous manner.
I'm off now to disconnect YouTube from my social networks.

...The great thing about a move is, all of your articles will follow if you use the wordpress blogger importer (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/blogger-importer/) Hope i dont get into trouble for pasting a link here. I think it is usefull info and I do not benefit monitarily from this link. Hope this helps someone considering a move from blogger to wordpress.

@Cheryl, just remember, if they deleted your youtube channel, they can delete your blog. All they need is one person to complain that it is spam. I suspect that my competitors are the ones that kept complaining about mine, then one day it was Gone. Make sure to back up every single post and all your pertinant stuff from blogger if you insist on using them. I seriously recommend you get on wordpress. Your traffic and page rank will benefit from wordpress. My traffic and sales have tripled since i

@ Lauea this is the reason i tell people use Wordpress and have it hosted. Most of my clients have WP to make sure they do not hit this issue and providing they do not break the tos then they are safe and if they do break them they will be given the opportunity to sort it out

i'm the opposite cheryl i enjoy the freedom and ability of wordpress as for google they want total domination not just of the internet but the world hence the invasion of privacy and security risk street view poses and their use of trojans to track each users daily internet habits

I like Blogger I find it much easier to use than wordpress but Google is using the force people to sign up for a Google account to make us look bigger than we really are.

wow. Thanks for sharing this Cheryl. I am going to go and download all my videos again to my computer (its new so i dont have my videos saved). I recommend everyone to download realplayer to their computer and download all the videos they want to save. Google did the same thing to me with one of my blogger blogs. They just arbitrarily deleted it. No warning, no nothing. Just gone...with no way to retrieve any of my articles or posts! I now use wordpress. I also recommend moving your blog if you

It is true that when companies start they are all about their customers, and then after they become major companies and huge success, they tend to forget who were the ones that put them there. That has happened with almost every major company not just Google but DVD/Streaming companies too

What is truly funny is that the 'fix' is to sign out of your google account and sign in with your YouTube account which simply keeps saying "incorrect user name password"

There is Something for Everyone
...and eventually the "big lump under the carpet" begins to smell and, all of a sudden, management realizes that some people have not been doing their duties. Then what happens? Heads begin to roll and so much money is spent to clean up what just one person should have sorted out long ago. What happens to the customers? The stench (could be unsatisfactory service) keeps them away and finally takes them to the competitors where they find repose. Google, be careful. Don't mess with Cheryl!

Google has forgotten who made them that big..to a point. All the customer complaints about this are buried in the 'less useful' section of the Google forum and it is a significant number of complaints. Businesses need to understand that sweeping things under the rug just creates a big lump under the carpet.

don't you just love it when a business gets so big it's customers are just an after thought, Role on the customer rising up against such tyrants and returning to the smaller and more customer appreciative businesses
