2016 has been a mixed bag for England so far. Just last month it pulled off a great win, by defeating Germany 3-2. This understandably raised the hopes of its fans that their country can win this year’s UEFA Euro 2016 Football Championship.

Adding to their hopes was the fact that England had commanded an emphatic win over Germany, and hadn’t won only just marginally. To recap, the first half of the match saw Germany leading England with a score of 2-0, which seemed to make them the favourites to win. However, the second half was turned around on its feet by three English players: Eric Dier, Harry Kane, and substitute Jamie Vardy, each of whom scored a goal and lead England to its 3-2 win. The match ended on a high promise to England fans that they could still win Euro 2016.

But their hopes came crashing down in the very next match held a couple of days later against Holland. Although the match started on a positive note for England when Jamie Vardy scored his first goal during the first half. However, the advantage of this early lead couldn’t be sustained by England. Holland’s Vincent Janssen and Luciano Narsinghsnatched the win for Holland in the second half and sealed the deal for their team. Since this was England’s final match before the start of Euro 2016, losing this one surely will impact the team morale for the upcoming Euro 2016.

Coming to the English Premier League, there are some prominent transfer newsdoing the rounds, but still remains to be verified. PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) player ZlatanIbrahi Moriches apparently received several offers from some major English clubs. But whether he accepts or declines is yet to be seen. This transfer news, ratherrumours, has prompted different reaction from Ibrahimovic‘s team mates. Angel Di Maria, who has himself done a flop stint with Manchester United earlier, supports Ibrahimovic moving out, if he so decides. However, Thiago Silva considers this to be a wrong step for Ibrahimovic in case he does decide to join the English Premier League.

More transfer news from other big clubs of the English Premier Leagueis doing the rounds. It includes some new and rising players such as footballers: Everton, Eden Hazard, Riyad Mahrez, Kostas Manolas, Marc-Andre TerStegen, etc. They may or may have received offers from Manchester United, Chelsea, etc.

Talking about the upcoming Euro 2016, it is yet to be seen which all players make the cut and become part of England’s Euro 2016team. Due to the several changes within the team recently, it is not easy to predict who Joy Hodgson, the English boss, will will select finally for his squad.
