Steps for Setting up Linksys RE6300 (AC750) to Range Extender Mode

Linksys Linksys RE6300 (AC750) range extender lets you replicate your main wireless signal to far corners of your house of any access point (AP) or router to provide high-speed of continuous and uninterrupted internet connectivity in hard-to-reach places via a wired or wireless connection.

The Linksys Extender Setup and Installation Process

Before you start the installation and setup process of your Linksys WiFi range extender, ensure that the following things are handy with you:

An up-running and active WiFi connection.
An SSID (network name) and password.

Note: Linksys RE6300 range extender should be plugged into a damaged-free power outlet. Prior to starting with the setup process, make sure that the LED lights on your Linksys device are blinking orange.

Now, follow the steps below to set up your Linksys WiFi range extender like a pro.

Connect your computer/desktop or laptop to your range extender's default SSID that is Linksys Extender Setup-XXX.

Note: Triple X represents the last 3 characters of the MAC address of your Linksys device. You can easily find this on the back of your device.

Open a web browser onto the connected device and in the address bar type extender.linksys.com.

Hit the Enter key and after that, click on Start Setup button on the displayed page.
Click on Next and select your WiFi. In case you have hidden your SSID, then wait for a few minutes until and unless the extender detects your WiFi name or you can also hit on the 'Manually Enter Network Name And Password' (without quotes).
Type in your password and click on next.
Once you are connected successfully, you will be supposed to configure the extended WiFi network that the Linksys range extender will be broadcasting. Change the settings and click on next.
If the 'Spot Finder' feature indicates that the Linksys RE6300's (AC750) location is 'Just right' then click on Next. The 'Spot Finder' feature will determine the WiFi signal strength between your Linksys range extender and your existing router. If your Linksys RE6300's (AC750) is placed 'Too far' or 'Too close', then find a better location to spot your Linksys device (recommended) and return to Step 1.
Create a unique and strong admin password to secure your Linksys RE6300 and to access the Linksys extender login page without any issue. It is also recommended to add a password hint to prevent login issues.
Click on the Save button once you're done.
Now, you will be prompt to Register your Linksys device. Enter your valid email ID then click on next.
