Speeding Hurts Everyone

The number of cars on the roads in Salt Lake City has dramatically increased over the past few year, thanks in part to an ever-growing population. Reckless driving—especially as a result of drivers not obeying the speed limits—puts all drivers on the roads at risk. People injured in collisions because of speeding vehicles often require the assistance of an auto accident lawyer to deal with the financial strain and medical issues caused by the collision.

16-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition

Earlier this year a 16-year-old girl was driving down Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City. Unified Police reported that she was speeding and lost control of her car around a corner, causing her car to roll over. As per the Salt Lake Tribune, she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Auto accidents like this one could have been avoided if the driver of the vehicle had obeyed the speed limit. There’s no denying that speeding causes many accidents and collisions. All too often, a lawyer would never have needed to be involved if drivers had only obeyed the speed limit.

Speeding Affects Everyone

With the increase in traffic in the Salt Lake City area, drivers need to remember to drive aware and obey all the laws of the road. When an auto accident occurs because of speeding, it usually does not just affect the driver. Others can be hurt too—both physically and emotionally (especially for family members of those hurt or killed). It can hurt both parties financially because of insurance increases, damages to their vehicles, and missed work because of injury.

People injured because of speeding often have to find a lawyer to help them deal with the financial and health issues that result from an auto accident. This can be scary and overwhelming for all involved. If more drivers pledge to drive within the speed limit, we could all enjoy safer roads.
