AAC blocks are about 80% lighter than concrete blocks of the same size and have excellent thermal properties. This is due to the number of chemical reactions that take place between the materials that are used for their production. After the chemical reactions, when the forms of AAC are created, they are solid but still very soft.

When the AAC forms are treated with the high pressure and temperature of autoclaving chambers make the forms hard and provides them with their characteristic properties.
