If you are thinking about buying a new compact tractor for your farm, there is plenty you need to consider first. A hobby tractor needs to be able to perform all the functions a professional farming tractor can. Solis tractors engineered its S series to cater especially to the needs of hobby farmers. In its S series, Solis features two compact tractors Solis 20 and Solis 26 tractor which have the capability to be your perfect partner on your hobby farm. Here’s a brief to all the features of the toughest compact tractors you need for your personal farm.

Powerful and Efficient Engine

The two Solis compact tractors are powered by high torque 3-cylinder Mitsubishi diesel engine which supplies great power while being fuel efficient. Further, they come with 6 forward, 2 reverse speed gearbox and a three-speed PTA. The only difference in the engine is in the HP, where S 20 comes with 20 H and S 26 with 26 HP.  As the company has demonstrated, both the models can tow the weight of a jet plane with ease which gives testimony to the performance of the machines.

Great Towing and Pulling Capacity

Solis S 20 and S 26 report a towing capacity of 1600 kg each. Therefore, these Solis tractors will have no problem pulling a trailer full of heavy loads around the farm or pulling disc harrow to chop the unwanted weed at your personal farm. While talking about the lifting capabilities of both, Solis 20 tractor offers a lifting capacity of 500 kg. And, Solis 26 tractor comes with a lifting force of 600 kg due to the added 6 HP in the model. You can easily remove heavy debris, clear out snow-covered roads, or lift heavy logs at your farm.

Apply a variety of Implements

Both of the models come with a 3 point CAT system and can attach a variety of implements which are manufactured and supplied by the company itself. To make it easier to operate Solis compact tractors are fitted with a single pinch attachment/ detachment system. You can attach implements such as a cultivator to loosen the soil to prepare the farm for cultivation, a rotary slasher to manage shrubs at your farm.

The Maneuverability Factor

A hobby farmers need to be agile and easy to manoeuvre on the small area of personal farms. Solis compact tractors are build while keeping this factor in mind. The Solis 20 tractor features a slick turning radius of 2.3 meters, whereas Solis 26 can turn at a radius of 2.1 meters. The track width of both tractors is also very suitable for small farms.

In an overview, these two offer a fresher design than its competitors and are appropriately featured at the level of a professional tractor. But there are a few differences between the two which one should consider before making a buy. Firstly, with Solis 26 tractor you get power handling, while with Solis 20 you get mechanical handling. Further, S 20 comes with a drum braking system, whereas S 26 with oil breaking system for better control. But lagging behind in these features don’t make Solis 20 tractor a lesser machine by any means. S 20 offers a relatively quiet ride which is very comfortable for the operator. Also, it is more fuel efficient of the two. In the end, choosing among the two Solis compact tractors becomes a choice of personal preference. If you would like a more silent, fuel-efficient compact tractor go for S20, or you would prefer S26 which is slightly more featured.
