The steps involved in the testing procedure are as follows:

i-STAT test cartridges are available for a broad range of diagnostic and treatment indicators related to disease state management and clinical practice guidelines. Each cartridge contains chemically sensitive biosensors on a silicon chip that are configured for specific analytes. Prior to running a test, each cartridge initiates a series of preset quality control diagnostics, from monitoring the quality of the sample to validating the reagent. With STATNotes, documentation and testing can be completed simultaneously, streamlining workflow while reducing paperwork and clerical errors.

It is important to purchase Abbott i-STAT 1 point-of-care analyzer from a reliable and certified lab equipment supplier. Leading lab equipment stores offer this quality analyzer recertified with a 90-day parts warranty.
