Rules of Photography
Below are few rules of photography which helps you transform into a professional photographer in no time.
Rule of Thirds:
Imagine to divide the scene into 2 vertical and 2 horizontal lines equally so that the scene is divided into nine equal segments. Try to focus the most important part of the scene along the lines of intersection which helps in adding balance to the image or scene.
Balancing Elements:
Focusing the main subject to the centre will create an interesting image but can leave some blank space. You should fill the space by including an object which is of less importance in the scene.
Leading Lines:
Our eyes will be naturally drawn along the side lines of a photo. You can click some nice photographs by thinking about the way you place the image inside the lines of focus.
View Point:
The view point is the most important aspect while focusing a scene. It will have a massive impact on the subjects shot from eye level, high above the ground level, down at the ground level, side as well as from back.
Background:
There is a chance that the background can always distract or detract an image. We can distinguish between different elements in a scene. When we shot a picture in a camera it can’t distinguish the elements in the scene and flattens the foreground and background of scene in images. This will ruin the pictures. In order to overcome this always choose for a plain background which gives great pictures.
Depth:
Depth can be created in images by including the objects in the foreground, middle and background of the pictures. Another most important and useful technique is by deliberately overlapping one object with another. This creates great pictures with more depth which the human eye can naturally recognize the layers inside it.
Framing:
The world is full of beautiful objects. Placing these objects inside the edges of the composition will help you capture the main subject.
These are just the basic rules of photography. Apart from these there are many other important factors which you need to understand in photography.
