Chemical industry plays a significant role in growth of Indian economy. It is one of the earliest domestic industries in India. This industry is currently serving many other industries like food processing, textile, agriculture, printing and packaging etc. In addition to these, there are many other industries that make use of different types of chemicals.

Pharmaceutical industry is the industry that depends largely upon chemical industry. That is because every medicine is manufactured with the use of chemicals. Before moving ahead it is better to describe about pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceuticals basically mean medicines which are used for treatment and prevention of diseases. There are a number of pharmaceutical products available. This includes tablets, syrups, capsules, injections, ointments, and herbal products.

All these products make use of different chemicals that are leading to the growth of this industry. These chemicals are used in the manufacturing of antibiotics, analgesic, antipyretic, and antiseptics. There is only one difference that every medicine is manufactured with different chemical.

Antibiotic is one of the chemical substances that are produced by micro-organism to kill other micro-organisms. It is recommended in the case of viral infections. Now, these antibiotics can’t be manufactured without the help of chemicals like tetracycline, amoxicillin, sulphadiazine, sulphanilamide, penicillin, ampicillin, quinolones, sulfonamides, chloramphenicol, and sulphaguanidine etc.

Antiseptic are another chemical substance that are used to reduce the possibility of infection and prevent the growth of micro-organisms. The list of chemicals which are used as antiseptics includes chlorine, phenol, boric acid, bithion, iodine, chloroxylenon (dettol), ethanol, gluconate, and mercurochrome etc. Like the chemical named allyl bromide is used in different proportions, other chemicals are also used in different proportions as per the requirement of a particular medicine.

Analgesic is also a type of pharmaceuticals or medicine that is taken in case of fever and pain. In layman language, these are known as pain killers. Chemicals which are used as analgesics are ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac sodium, narcotics such as codeine, morphine, caffeine, heroin etc.

Antipyretics are almost same as analgesic and used in the case of lower body temperature. Paracetamol and phenacetin etc. are the pharmaceuticals used as antipyretics. In addition to aforementioned, other pharmaceuticals are anti fertility medicines, antacids, tranquilizers, and antimicrobials.

·         Tranquilizers are used in the treatment of mental problems like stress. Chemicals used as tranquilizers are mainly the derivatives of barbituric acids membutal, luminal, amytal, vernol, and meprobamate, serotonin, valium, chlorodiazepoxide etc.

·         For anti-fertility and oral contraceptives related chemicals are used.

·         On the contrary, chemicals like prazole, magnesium trisilicate, aluminium phosphate, lansoprazole, magnesium hydroxide, and aluminium hydroxide gel is used as antacid. These are generally taken to remove excess acid in the stomach. These acids are the actual reason for acidity.

For supplying all these chemicals including allyl bromide, there are many chemical manufacturing companies available. If you are also involved in such a company that requires high usage of chemicals then it is good to make a deep market research before choosing any chemical supplier. That is because only a reputed and trusted supplier can assure about the quality of their products that is chemicals in this case.
