If you are planning to go to New Zealand, then you must understand that you need student visa for the sake of studying full time. The student visa is also required if you are planning to study over there for more than 3 months. It is possible for you to apply for it only and only if you have got admission in education institution in New Zealand. You then receive a letter of admission from the university where you have paid the fees also. On the basis of this document you can apply for student visa in your home country. After that, your student visa is approved by buy an authority called as the ‘New Zealand qualifications authority’. Duration of visa

Please note that the student visa is issued to you only for the duration of the fees that you have paid. Therefore, it is generally asked by the University to pay the fees as soon as possible so that you can be at convenience. Students pay the fees of one year in advance. It means that the students get the visa of one year only.

Application of visa

Applying for visa is not a onetime affair because a student also needs to keep applying for it every year or after every 6 months when your visa gets expired as no student generally pays the fees of the entire curriculum of 3 or 4 years. You need to understand that you have to file the application for Visa at least two months ago so that the government of New Zealand does not ask you to leave the country till you get the visa.

Documents required
